Why 1688 prices look different
1688 primarily serves China’s domestic trade. Listings may exclude tax, export packaging, certification, international payment costs and consistent after-sales support. Treat the displayed price as a search signal, not a landed-cost quote.
Verify the company behind the listing
Marketplace badges are useful but incomplete. Match the registered entity, business scope, address, payment recipient and actual production role before paying meaningful deposits.
Order and label samples
Buy from several candidates, then record each parcel, listing ID, variant and quoted specification. Visually similar samples can come from different constructions or quality grades.
Payment and domestic delivery
International buyers often need local payment and receiving support. Keep payment records tied to approved orders and make clear who owns refunds, disputes and supplier balances.
Consolidation and export
Domestic cartons are not always export-ready. Inspect SKU, quantity and condition at consolidation, then repack, label and prepare documents for the selected export route.
